The first potatoes and the first carrots of 2017. Home grown here at The Big Garden, of course. The pea ‘burgers’ too. Not sure whether this counts as vegetarian, as the burgers include a yolk from one of our hen eggs ; oh, and there’s butter on the spuds and carrots.
It’s just not possible to eat better than this. Healthier, or tastier, or for that matter more economically.
Happiness – on a plate!
And within reach of most people – even someone living, say, in an apartment with a good-sized south-facing balcony. Maybe not many such meals to be got from that kind of micro-smallholding – but all the more appreciated.
