Jonathan: The past fortnight has been so busy there’s scarce been time to think. At the end of a long day, the mind wants rest from its many branches of labour, and would gladly muse away the time before sleep encroaches in detached reflection on the day’s doings. But the time left for such things is too short and all mental energy is drained away. And thus blogging is neglected. Mornings seem to be better, but I need more time between being up and ready to go, and the actual going. I usually leave the house (to see to the livestock) at 0730 or shortly after – very rarely sooner. So being up even say 15mins earlier would make all the difference.
Jonathan: So busy this past fortnight, part-drafted blogs piling up, photos not downloaded from the camera. I’ve stayed up late to break the ‘blogjam’. Sorry about the flood of messages! It’s gone midnight and outside is pitch dark: already the seasons are rolling on, and summer is looking tired and drawn (D: a bit like you – isn’t it time you came to bed?).
Denise: The last fortnight or so has been so busy that we’ve scarcely had time to wonder what day of the week it is! So no surprise that the blogs have been neglected for – goodness! – almost two weeks. And despite having done so many things – and many of them important milestones reached – I can’t for the life of me recollect exactly what we have been doing! No doubt J will fill in the gaps, though I don’t know that his memory is any better than mine – thanks to being electrocuted in the late 90s.
