Denise: Many of our guests at Carrick tell us of the antics they see our hens and geese and sheep get up to. But this from Robert who was here last week is surely the best yet.
I have to tell you about one of your two ‘pet’ lambs. A collie dog came up the road from Haun and when it reached Carrick one of the lambs chased it at canter speed back down the road. The dog must have been so embarrassed it just kept running until out of sight – the lamb however seemed to understand the croft’s boundaries and stopped there at the invisible line across the road and watched until the dog had gone – and then turned around and came skipping back.
Maybe the collie will return – with reinforcements?
