Denise: Tabatha hasn’t been seen for almost two days now. She’s 2nd youngest but by far the smallest of our cats – a lovely near-black tabby with huge great saucers for eyes. She’s a good hunter, and for that reason has been known to stop out all night occasionally, especially when there’s moonlight and after a long fine day. But she’s always turned up in the morning, smelling of lichens and sheep wool and surprisingly dry (we sometimes think she curls up with the sheep for the night). But after two nights without her, we really don’t know what to think or to fear. She’s one of our family, and very dear to us, but what it must be like for a parent when a child goes missing we can scarcely imagine.
