This afternoon, guests will be arriving for their fortnight’s holiday at Carrick – The Blue House. This is the view when the house first comes into sight. We often wonder what kind of a first impression this makes: We’re so used to this, all we can say is that it’s very nice – especially on a sunny day. What do you think?
Arriving at Carrick Eriskay – a ‘patched-panorama’
You know you’ve settled well into a coastal community you’ve moved to, when the locals leave fresh-caught fish at your doorstep for you. It contributes to feeling a sense of Plaice. This appeared, some time this morning, just outside the front door of Carrick. Okay, it’s just one, and it’s a tiddler, but the gull that dropped it off for us must have known we just love Plaice. It’s the thought that counts!
Denise: Today, re-decorating the west wing at Carrick, with brush-and-roll music to keep us going. Electric Light Orchestra: On The Third Day ; Eldorado ; Face The Music ; A New World Record ; Out The Blue ; Discovery – and, just to be sure we’d covered all bases, a triple compilation album packed to the rafters with great music from their studio albums of ELO’s first 25 years!
