A Cheesy Pun — 2 Comments

  1. Cathedral City Cheese comes from Dairy Crest’s Davidstow Cheese Factory on the North Cornish Coast on the northern edge of Bodmin Moor. My daughter milks cows and the milk from the herds she milks just across the Devon border goes to make Cathedral City Cheese. You just made me a little homesick, not too many dairy cows up here in the Highlands.

    • J > None at all in Uist. My tongue in cheek comment about Cathedral City as a brand name is limited to just that : I have th utmost respect for the milk producers for whom the likes of Dairy Crest are economically of enormous importance. I was born in Somerset on a traditional mixed farm, which are nowadays very rare.
