Awesome!

This morning, after feeding the sheep, the geese and the hens, I stayed over in Eriskay to try and complete the winter indoor maintenance. My work was interrupted by phone calls with contractors about the planned improvements in Home Park (more on which another time). Then I had to call Denise to pass on some news: she answered with a muffled voice. A suspiciously mouth-filled voice!
“So, what are you eating?”, I asked.
Pause. A swallow-length pause … then “A scone!”
“Aha! Is it good?”
“Awesome! If you want some, you’re going to have to get home quick!”
I returned the phone to the charger, and myself to my work. Yet, somehow, to my surprise, I discovered the work I had been doing had reached a natural break-point, and it was not possible to progress further until tomorrow morning. No, really!
Back home, bucket of eggs handed over for checking and packing, I reported to the kitchen, to find a cafeteire ready for pouring and …
… warm, just-buttered, Kale Cheese and Chive Scones. A spontaneous concoction of Denise’s own imagining.
Yes, Denise – Awesome!

Ah, is there a recipe? Looks lovely.
D > I wish there was Karen. I’d need a USB or wireless connection in my head, though, as I just improvised – and didn’t make any notes. If I do it again, I’ll have to keep a record. J will, I’m sure, love writing it up and posting it here.
Hot and buttered…It is hard to beat that!
