    • D > Years ago, when we had a large suburban garden, we kept Khaki Campbells. They’re such characters. J and I have always had a soft spot for domestic ducks, and when we first started with out croft we kept a small flock, but alas they were irresistable to the local aerial predators (gulls, ravens, eagles … ) and protecting them was impracticable, so eventually … Yes, so Donald was very welcome.

  1. Perhaps he has had enough sustenance to give him the strength to go find his flock. Time can heal. I’ll keep good thoughts for him. And for you two. 🙂

  2. It sounds like he had a much-needed haven with you at a tough time. I hope Donald has found some welcoming company of his own kind now.
