Fresh and tender, these carrots, onions, swiss chard and kohl rabi – together with a morsel of chilli pepper (frozen – from last autumn’s harvest), will be turned into a delicious and very healthy, tasty (and surprisingly sweet) soup.
Fresh and tender! Carrots, Chard, Onions Kohl Rabi.
D > We use our slow cooker (in summer : in winter we use the Aga) a great deal for vegetables and that includes casseroles. The meat (especially lamb) would have been cooked first (in a pan of water), the meat removed from the bone, then into the slow cooker (or a casserole pan in the Aga) with the vegetables. Very satisfying food – especially in late Autumn and throughout the Winter!
Looks so fresh and tasty! It makes me want to cook soup in my crock pot!
