D > I’m reading it now, after reading her other book, The Muse. Both brilliant! What delighted J and I was that having just finished reading The Muse, I said to myself, I must look out for a copy of The Miniaturist at a charity shop. (There are two ‘Thrift Shops’ in our group of islands, both very small, as entire population is only about 3000). Next day we were over in Beinn na Faoghla (Benbecula) for a hospital appointment, called in at the Thrift Shop there, and lo and behold the lady behind the counter showed me some books just come in – and there it was. That made our day!
Well I am exhausted just reading! Breath taking actually!
What a beautiful set of photos– so varied and so reflective of a really good life!
J & D > We had to exercise restraint – so many still-unused photos to choose from. These cover just the last eight-nine weeks only.
I say throw restraint to the winds and show *all* the photos! 😉
Appreciated the way you made your point with your photographs. Excellent.
I like your garden fencing. That’s just what I need!
Wonderful pics – you must be exhausted! But what a beautiful life you lead
J & D > Glad you enjoyed the photos. We’re certainly kept busy, but then so are people with full time jobs!
A busy, beautiful life. I was especially interested in “The Miniaturist” by Jessie Burton. Will look it up for further information.

Yay! What a treat to find the book you were looking for. Doesn’t always happen that way.
Life at the pace you live certainly is a blur. 🙂 Wish I lived closer so I could buy some of your lemon curd. 🙂
love these photos 🙂
