Overlooked Too : Gerinda by day and by night

These photos were overlooked too!
The first day not taken up with building work, I drove up the Carretera de Zona Media NA-132 to the head of the valley, and at the summit, turned off to the north and steeply uphill again to the Sierra de Gerinda. Parking by the first turbine (the shadow of which is in the first photo here) and set off along the ridge road through the turbines, and onward into the hills and forests.
It was already mid afternoon when I set out, but it was so lovely to be up in the hills that I just kept walking for two hours and more – until the sun had set. With magnificent views over the the hills, valleys and villages of Comarca Sangüesa, I sat on a boulder for the food and drink I’d brought with me, enjoying the silence as darkness fell.
It was already very dark when I turned about and set off back to the car : another two hours – and quite a lot more – by the same route, the white limestone of the track just visible by the light of the stars – and later the moon.
It was such a beautiful experience – both by day and by night.
