Exhausted. All yesterday, into the small hours of today, configuring WordPress, Facebook and Twitter to talk to eachother. There’s the tools to do it – if you can find them. If you can find them you may get them to work as they seem to promise, but woe betide if they don’t or need tweeking and you have to find the same menus or tickboxes or whatever again. Technology is supposed to be our servant, but all to quickly it becomes our master. For simplicity, Twitter is probably the best of the three, and the constraints of 140 charachters can be helpful, though of course as soon as you’ve got tags and urls or photos or whatever you’re left with so few characters as to be pretty useless. Facebooks has so much more functionality, but is devilishly complicated to configure and control. WordPress is on the whole the best of the three, but these days something of a backwater. Trying to combine the advantages of all threee whilst avoiding their weaknesses has been a struggle I’m not keen to repeat. I’ve got something working after a fashion, I’ve now to learn how to make best use of it. This has been authored in WP, but will appear in Twitter and Facebook. Now, back to work on Sgarasta Mhor: ordering materials and processing invoices.
