It’s the last day of May – and of Spring, and it’s now much sunnier and the air is milder – almost normal for late May, and we’re now in short-sleeved shirts and outdoors as much as possible. Nonetheless, visitors to the island, many of whom are not acclimatised to island conditions, are coming in to our wee shop dressed as for the depths of winter! We teasingly chide them for being so nesh! The lambswool twill scarves – that I weave by hand on our Glamårka floor loom – seem to sell themselves, and as I can’t weave more hours in the day, the scarves are in short supply. Here’s a selection of those that I have on display in the shop.
I suppose I should tell you that they cost £35 each. UK Postage is £4.75, though that would cover more than just one scarf. If you’re interested, email to us to tell us which you want, and we’ll send a payment link for payment by card.
PS : The scarves in green and purple (at each end of this selection) have been snapped up already – by Catherine in Australia.
